Pricing

What affects the cost of the immigration medical exam.

There is no single nationwide price. Most clinics charge a base exam fee, then add costs if you need vaccines, lab tests, a chest x-ray, translation help, or another visit.

Clinic exam fee

This is the starting price for the visit with the civil surgeon.

Required lab work

Age-based TB and STI testing can add to the total cost.

Missing vaccines

If your records are incomplete, the office may recommend catch-up vaccines.

Follow-up care

A chest x-ray, translation help, or another visit can increase the final price.

Questions to ask when you call

Ask for the full price, not just the exam fee. Some clinics quote a low starting price and bill vaccines, labs, or return visits separately.

  • What does the quoted price include?
  • Are lab tests included or billed separately?
  • Are vaccines available onsite?
  • What happens if I need a chest x-ray or another visit?

Use the estimator to see how age, vaccine records, prior TB history, and translation needs may affect the total price.

The cheapest quote is not always the best option. A clinic that clearly explains what is included can save you from extra visits, outside lab bills, and last-minute surprises.
